Bathers beach is not really a playground, but you (or your kids) can have a good play on the wooden jetty and poles on the beach.  The beach is a tiny strip of sand between the Fishing Boat Harbour and the Round House. It has great views and is a great place to watch the sunset.

The coffee can come from Kailis' Fish Market Cafe, which has a takeaway coffee and icecreams as well as the best fish and chips, which is across the road.  There was a McDonald's right there for a long time, but this has now closed.

On the beach there is a replica jetty and a set of interesting poles and wooden bits to clamber around on.
