|Garvey Park Ascot|
Garvey Park is right on the bend of the river in Ascot. It is a lovely picnic area, with a great view of the river, and a fab playground.
The playground has sand on the ground, and a large shade sail for sun protection. The play equipment is a bit different to what we normally see with some interesting things such as a large spinning around wheel to sit on.
The coffee comes from the Ascot Riverside Kiosk, which is part of the Ascot Rowing Club building. It is very close to the playground. The Kiosk has a few outdoor tables and does breakfast and light lunches. A few of the tables overlook the playground. The kiosk is open 7am to 4pm Saturdays and Sundays and 7am to 2pm Mondays and Tuesdays. If you go on a weekend day when the Rowing / Kayak Club have a event it can be quite busy.
Garvey Park was recommended to us as a wonderful destination for a bit ride plus coffee - so if you are feeling energetic take the kids (or not) and your bikes.
