Landsdale Farm is a great place for a visit. It is a working farm run by the Department of Education and Training - its name is actually Landsdale Farm School.
You have to pay to enter - it is $6 per person (under 2yrs is free).
On the farm they have heaps of animals, sheep, goats, cows, ponies, ducks, chickens, turkeys, alpacas and donkeys plus others. You can wander around looking and talking to the animals in their paddocks/pens.
There is a great playground, the most sunsafe playground ever! It is a fairly standard steel frame play structure, but it is inside the frame of an old potting shed that is completely covered with shade cloth. It is playground inside a magic cave!
There is cafe on site, with outdoor seating under umbrellas. It is called the Haystack Cafe and they do light meals for lunch and morning/afternoon teas. You can also do takeaway coffee to drink while the kids play. You can also take your own food to the farm.
Landsdale farm is open 9am- 3pm every day except public holidays.
