We have been receiving suggestions for other playgrounds and parks in country areas. It may take a while for the coffee in the park gang to visit all of these (although some extra holidays would be nice!) - so we have listed them on this page for any lucky travellers.
Country Parks with Coffee
The park in Gingin has a water wheel at the lake and a nice shady playground. There is a raised wooden walkway through the bush. There are toilets and a cafe right next to the park.
Seashells Cafe is on the foreshore at Cervantes, attached to the reception of the Cervantes caravan park. There is a brand new playground about 50 away. Our sources say the coffee is great!
Rod says Kalbarri has best kid friendly foreshore he has seen (and his kids have played at!). Rod recommends Angies Cafe opposite the foreshore for coffee and other essentials.
On the way to Esperance and Bremer Bay there is a great new playground in the township of Jerramungup. It is a large playground with equipment for kids of all ages, shade sails, toilets and soft fall on the ground. Coffee is available at Tobruk Traders in the main street.
Emu Point Albany
At Emu Point in Albany there is a lovely playground near the beach. The Emu Point Cafe has a takeaway section that serves good coffee.
There is a playground right near the Bindoon Bakery.
Country Parks with no coffee
There is a great playground in Muchea with a bike trail for the kids to ride their bikes. There are toilets and the park is fenced from the road.
There is a great playground at the Apex park on Albany Hwy in Kojonup.
There is a new water activity park in Carnarvon.
