Perth Zoo has a playground, it has coffee, and animals too!

The Zoo is obviously not just a park, but we think it deserves a special mention because the playground is excellent. It is a bit different from a regular playground, with lots of interesting sensory type experiences. There is a sand tower where kids can raise sand to a platform and send it back down pipes, a big slide with a tunnel underneath and the purple fibreglass monster head that you can climb into and slide out of.

The coffee from the Zoo cafe is great - you can sit and drink it onsite or take away to carry out the zoo or straight across to the playground. If you are Zoo friends and have annual membership, you get a discount at the cafe - cheap coffee!
