Memorial Park Armadale

Memorial Park is a fantastic new playground nestled in the shopping district in Armadale.  Bordered on two sides by Armadale Central shopping centre (which is very new), the park has a range of traditional and interesting play equipment positioned under a group of really tall trees which provide great shade.  There is soft fall on the ground, and lots of brick paths through the grass to get to the road and the coffee.  There are lots of park benches, but no picnic tables.

Our kids loved the climbing frame pyramid thingy and the big flat swing, like a tyre swing but a modern version.

The playground is literally right next to the shops, and inside the shopping centre, facing onto the park are two cafes.  You have the choice of Gloria Jeans in one direction, or the Merchant Cafe in the other.  Gloria Jeans does a free babycino with each grownup coffee if your kids are wild about them.  Our daughter loves babycinos, I think mainly because they come with a marshmallow!  Both cafes do takeaway.  They are also both open 7 days, as that end of the shop has cinemas and a range of restaurants so you can have coffee on a Sunday too.

If you are hungry there is also a KFC and a Hungry Jacks across the road.

There are toilets close by in the shopping centre, go in up the steps near the Merchant and Jimmy Dean's and the toilets are down the passageway near Gone Bazaar.
